[gallery]This week, I will explain about 1 project we do in ODOP(One District One Product). The project is called the Tomato project. There is a place called Paxong and there are many farmers there. They make vegetables or coffee to sell in the city, but they don’t know how to sell them. We made a farm to grow good and big tomatoes so that farmers can sell them for a high price. Since Lao people tend to like small tomatoes (a little bigger than プチトマト), we thought big tomatoes are not enough in the market. The first harvesting day was 2 weeks ago, and got more than 500kg of tomatoes. The next day, we brought some tomatoes to the big market. Surprisingly, people in the vegetable stores were really interested in our products, and told us they wanted to buy the tomatoes. That day, we gave them for free, and asked to sell as high price as possible. The next week, we went to the big market again to check if the tomatoes were sold. They were completely gone, and the people in the vegetable shop told us that they sold the tomatoes for 5000 kip/ 1kg. This is more than 50 yen. Although the price was about the average, we were happy that the tomatoes were sold.
