Recently, I’ve been working on the honey project. The honey comes from Bachian district, Champasak province, Laos. The farmers there get honey by climbing up trees and collecting bee nests. Since they collect honey using the old style, it takes time and can get little each time. Also, honey can be collected only once a year so it is very precious. My job for this project is to first filter the honey to remove ants and scum. Then, I put them in glass bottles, and put stickers. After finishing, I go around stores to ask them if I can put our product in the shop. Many shop owners seems interested in our product, and I’ve succeeded putting our product in 10 shops. One supermarket bought more than 7万円 of our honey. My boss was really happy, and I was happy at the same time. We still have more than 300 liters of honey, so I will try to sell them all before coming back to Japan.
Also, the candy I made was sold at Laos Festival in Tokyo. My boss told me all the candies were sold out. I will work on the candy project as well.
