This week, I went to Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand for my boss’s work. He had a meeting in Ubon Ratchathani. Although I had been there for my visa, it was my first time to go “inside” Ubon. The view I could see from the car was so different from the view in Laos. I saw big supermarkets, like a mall where we can enjoy shopping, or eat in restaurants. Also, I saw fast-food restaurants, such as McDonald’s, or Kentucky Fried Chicken. When I saw the signboard of McDonald’s, I almost cried, because I haven’t been there for a long time. Despite my great feelings towards McDonald’s, the meeting took a long, long time. When we finished the meeting, it was already 4 P.M... Then, my boss told me he wanted to buy a car for the company. We went around 4 car shops to check whether they have a good car. It is better for him to buy a car in Thailand, because the car sold in Thailand is made in Thailand. The car sold in Laos is imported from Thailand, so it is more expensive. As a result, we didn’t have enough time to go shopping, and eating McDonald’s. I really hope I will have another chance to go to Ubon Ratchathani!
