This week, I have been working on a project called cocktail project. We have a alcohol product called black rice whiskey(黒米焼酎). As you can understand from the name, black rice is used in this whiskey. Although it is strong with 25% of alcohol inside, it tastes better than the normal whiskey. Despite this situation, black rice whiskey is not famous among Lao people. We want to make the black rice whiskey famous, so we came up with the cocktail project. I was told to make a cocktail with fruit juice. Since I had chance to make cocktails in my part time job, I knew what kind of juice matches alcohol. I bought orange, pineapple, and grape juice to use. When I used pineapple and orange together, it really tasted nice, so I asked my boss to try. He really liked my cocktail, and told me he will sell this cocktail for 15000 kip (170円程). The name of the cocktail is FoRest star cocktail. FoRest is the hotel’s name here, so I think it is a good name. When I was told to make a cocktail, I did not have any confidence in making one. After all, I happened to success, and was glad to be recognized by my boss. I hope it will sell well in the restaurant!
